Executive Summary
“Think Global, Act Local” was the key motto for AVIANET in supporting ASKY, an African start-up airline, since its launch in 2009. AVIANET helped ASKY develop a secure, single platform-based network access to its selected CRS platform (SABRE). Until mid-2011, AVIANET provided secure and fully monitored CRS platform access through the AVIANET Global IP-VPN Network, along with full application support up to the end-user equipment across 40+ offices in Africa.
In 2011, AVIANET supported ASKY in migrating from the SABRE platform to another CRS platform and deployed the new platform across all customer offices. AVIANET also provided full application roll-out support for all end-user equipment. As a result, ASKY completed the migration plans and application rollouts within the planned project time frames.
About Customer
ASKY is a fast-growing airline in West and Central Africa, founded in 2009. The airline plans to cover all of West and Central Africa and expand its network to South Africa, Europe, America, and some Asian countries. With the launch of Malabo on February 19, 2012, ASKY continues to expand rapidly.
